I have always loved colour and been inspired by the ever-changing light of the countryside. Stained glass allows me to combine coloured light with images. This has answered all the qualities that I have been looking for in a craft. Living in the Herefordshire countryside surrounded by orchards, woods and hills and all the plants and creatures therein I am never short of ideas. I find that my inspiration is very immediate and glass colour choices relate to the seasons in which I work. I am also influenced by my interest in medieval Arthurian romances, which I studied at university, and their more common equivalent children's fairy tales.

Through my work I hope to instil some of the magic of the British countryside into people's homes wherever they may be. Sometimes this includes elements of legends and stories known and hidden within our history and the landscape.
