I studied at West Surrey College of Art and Design, and gained a B.A. Hons. In 3D Design (Ceramics) in 1994.

I enjoy the light-hearted quality of slipware; the techniques used encourage a lively direct approach to the decoration. This is also the oldest of the English folk traditions in pottery, and has long had a place in the rustic celebration and commemoration of local events; part of this is the written word, for which it is ideally suited. I combine lines of poetry and images with wildlife, landscape or rural themes on a range of domestic ware; the words add another dimension and spark off ideas for decoration.
