Born in North Wales, Clare studied at the Royal Forest of Dean College and then gained a B A in Fine Art Degree in Printmaking in 1999 at the University of Wales, Cardiff. She has exhibited widely in South Wales, and undertaken some teaching of art.

In her original prints Clare has explored a number of printing techniques including etching, aquatint on copper, lithography on stone, drypoint and monoprint. She also draws, and paints in oil and mixed media.
