Angela makes sculptures pf people, mainly nudes. She is interested in the way that the body can convey moods, feelings and characters simply by the turn of the head or the set of the shoulder. Her work is suffused with an essential humanity which communicates directly with the viewer. Most of her pieces are modelled directly from life in clay before being cast in bronze resin. She tries to preserve the essential qualities of the clay in the finished work, keeping the surface lively and the lines fluid.
